Beit Benin: A corner of Rothschild from the 1930s
Beit Benin, at the corner of 19 Rothschild Boulevard and 52 Nahlat Binyamin Street, is among the first buildings erected on Rothschild Boulevard, a gem of preservation in the heart of the White City.
The building was constructed for Maurice Benin according to plans by architect Zaki Shloosh, and opened in 1938 as a corner building with two wings. Its design combines the Bauhaus lines of the White City with art deco touches characteristic of the era. Upon opening, the wing facing Rothschild housed a branch of the Anglo-Palestine Bank.

Today Beit Benin is a four-storey boutique office building with a preserved lobby and unique atmosphere, overlooking the boulevard and the Independence Hall opposite. Its location in the heart of Tel Aviv makes it a sought-after address for law offices, high-tech companies and freelancers.
