1 How to Submit a Notice

  1. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Notice and Takedown" (or open a request in the “Support” section of your account), including the details set out below.
  2. Identity of the complainant: full name and contact details; for a corporation — the corporation's name and your connection to it.
  3. Identification of the content: the exact link (URL) to the page and content alleged to be infringing.
  4. Nature of the infringement: which right is at issue (a work you own, reputation, privacy, trademark, a fraudulent listing) and a brief description.
  5. Supporting evidence: evidence of your right, to the extent it exists (for example, the original work, a trademark registration).
  6. Declaration: that the notice is submitted in good faith and in the honest belief that the use is unauthorised, and that the details are correct.

2 What Happens After the Request

  1. We will confirm receipt of the request and review it promptly, and in any event within a reasonable time.
  2. A well-founded request will lead to removal or hiding of the content; in clear-cut cases we will remove it immediately.
  3. We will notify the uploader of the content about the removal, and they may submit a response (a counter-notice). If a response justifying it is received, we will restore the content and update you, and the dispute will be resolved between the parties.
  4. Every request, decision and action is recorded in an internal log.
  5. Advertisers who repeatedly infringe will have their account suspended or closed.

3 Scope and Liability

  1. The procedure is intended to enable prompt handling of infringing content without adjudicating legal disputes; we are not a judicial tribunal, and operating the procedure does not constitute an admission of liability.
  2. Knowingly submitting a false notice may expose the person submitting it to liability.
  3. Nothing in the procedure derogates from the parties' rights to apply to the courts.
