UMI Tower: The classic of the west industrial area
It was inaugurated back in 1999 as the car centre of the UMI Group, and since has become one of the most recognised office buildings in west Rishon LeZion — 11 storeys of offices, retail and clinics above two basement car parks.
Beit UMI on Moshe Levi Street 11 was delivered in September 1999 as a joint venture between Cardan Real Estate and Hamizrach Ltd, on a plot of approximately 18 dunams. The design was led by Burley Loitzky Kasif, and the result: an 11-storey building with a total area of approximately 22,700 m², a particularly wide typical floor of almost 1,900 m² and six elevators.
For approximately 17 years the building served as headquarters for the UMI Group — General Motors importer to Israel — which housed showrooms, a service centre and offices, until the group moved to a new campus in Lod in 2016.
01Retail downstairs, offices upstairs
The ground floor functions as an active commercial gallery with cafés, clinics and shops; access to the car park is from David Sacharoff Street. Among current tenants: Proportion Clinic, Smile for You dental centre, UMI insurance agency and law offices.
A typical floor of approximately 1,900 m² — among the widest in the area — makes the tower a natural solution for clinics and companies needing one large floor.
02Location
The tower sits between The Gold Mall and Cinema City, with quick exit to Ayalon (Route 20), Route 4 and Route 431. Rental rates in the building hover around 55–60 ₪/m² — accessible pricing relative to the surroundings.
