Century Tower: A veteran of Ben Gurion Street poised for new heights
On Ben Gurion Street, one of Tel Aviv's central traffic arteries, stands a veteran office tower designed in the 1980s and destined to undergo dramatic height expansion in the coming years.
Century Tower was erected in 1986 to designs by architects Aba Elchanan and Nissan Canaan, on foundations laid as far back as 1966. The building rises to approximately 71 metres across approximately 20 floors, and contains about 12,000 m² of office space. Adjacent to it is a car park with approximately 528 parking spaces, and it is owned by Amot Investments real estate company.

Among its tenants are offices of leading law firms, investment companies and management offices of Clalit and Maccabi health funds. According to a plan drawn up by Arika Architects, renovation of the existing structure and addition of dozens of floors above are planned — a step that will transform the veteran address into one of the avenue's tallest towers.
