G Rothschild Mall: Three decades of retail in the city centre
The mall built in the 1990s by Sam Olfiner was purchased by Gazit Globe for ₪185 million, and today — under the G City brand — combines approximately 60 shops with office floors and six parking levels.
On Rothschild 45, adjacent to the Culture Hall and within walking distance of City Hall, stands one of Rishon LeZion's established retail centres. The mall was built in the 1990s by Sam Olfiner, former chairman of the Contractors' Federation, and in July 2005 was purchased by Gazit Globe — today G City — for approximately ₪185 million (TheMarker).

Even at acquisition the retail occupancy stood at 100%, with anchors such as Super-Pharm, Globus cinemas and Holmes Place. In 2009 49% of the property was sold to REIT 1 in a three-mall transaction valued at a combined ₪650 million.
01What's in it today
According to network data approximately 59 shops operate in the mall across retail floors — Renuar, KSP, Super-Pharm, Foot Locker, McDonald's and more — above basement parking levels with hundreds of spaces. Above the retail: office floors with an area of approximately 4,500 m² (REIT 1), serving clinics, law offices and businesses relying on foot traffic.
The Rothschild axis between Zhitomirsky and Ben Gurion is the historic promenade of Rishon — and the mall is its retail anchor.
02Urban, established, working
Unlike the new complexes in west Rishon, G Rothschild lives off the street: a stable neighbourhood crowd, walking access from the civic centre and available parking beneath the building. This mix keeps approximately 100 tenants in the property over the years.
